As a typical introvert writer, I did this to get out of my comfort zone. As it turned out, I wasn’t pushed, I was enticed. Part of this was because of things I didn’t expect in terms of new perspectives on myself and a writer and unexpected imagery. I think of these as side effects (still an introvert). You might think of them as bonuses.
