The First 30 Pages is an accelerated screenwriting master class studying online with author & award winning screenwriter Max Adams. During six weeks of advanced study, students will study story opening models provided in class, complete advanced course assignments and exercises, submit the first thirty pages of a [completed or in progress] feature script for analysis & review, and will participate in weekly online discussions reviewing and analyzing assignments and students’ submitted pages with Max Adams.

•Mastering Story Momentum — A Six Week Screenwriting Master Course: 03.11.25

Mastering Story Momentum is an accelerated screenwriting master class studying online with author & award winning screenwriter Max Adams. During six weeks of advanced study, students will study and analyze pacing models, analyze produced scripts and film clips provided in class, complete advanced course assignments and exercises, and participate in weekly online discussions reviewing and analyzing course materials and course assignments with Max Adams with an emphasis on narrative dramatic tension and use of sequence breaks, act and plot momentum, and obstacles and plot mechanisms to increase a sense of story escalation and pacing that escalate and lead to a successful narrative dramatic story climax.

•Structural Writing — A Six Week Screenwriting Master Course: 05.13.25

Structural Writing is an accelerated screenwriting master class studying online with author & award winning screenwriter Max Adams. During six weeks of advanced study, students will analyze structural models and produced scripts and film clips provided in class, complete advanced course assignments and exercises, and participate in weekly online discussions reviewing and analyzing course materials while building a structured and revised outline and beat sheet assignment for a script students bring to class to work on with Max Adams.
