@maegan I don't do commercials. That was the whole point of cutting the cord way back when I did it. The trick is, there are too many streaming services now that are all splintered off and when you stack them all up, all of them together cost more than an one individual overpriced account with the commercial spewing cable companies. Sheesh.
I started watching Texas 9-1-1 on Hulu (I like Rob Lowe and the cast) and it's set in Austin and so far, Brazos Street has been hit by a tornado (bummer, Driskill) and a mini golf course has been swallowed by a magma river.
It is pretty entertaining but I do not think it is intended to be comedy. Hmm.
I will give Texas 9-1-1 props for not going crazy countrifying dialogue and making up weird ass jargon and expressions though. I tried to watch Virgin River (set in Humboldt County in N California) one time and dialogue got so bizarre with colorful local expressions (wtf?) it was unwatchable.Â
