The initial inspiration for this topic came from a photo @tonia posted on FB of her office. I was immediately entranced by the wall post-its which are so cool and wanted to know where she got them. I also stole the photo immediately and am not even sorry at all.

Wall post-its! Aren't those cool? They are from Staples and SO cool.

I love them. I can keep all notes on each project and have them in front of my at a glance. No shuffling papers or digging through files on computer. Love love love them!

Oh and @Max there’s post it note white boards on Amazon. They’re small but so cool. You just slap me on the wall.  And can remove them.

This is very cool. It's not strictly about writing but I use it for coffee and coffee is about writing, right? Right?

I put activated charcoal in coffee in the mornings and that stuff does not like to blend no matter how much you stir it (people also put activated charcoal in lemonade) and I got this and now I put coffee and activated charcoal in and shake and no clumps. It's like magic.

I got this initially to try out as a new microphone making video courses. The first time I used it though was today watching a webinar. It was so cool to be able to get up from the computer and still be listening without interruption if I wanted a coffee or smoke break during what was an over two hours long webinar. No more being tied to the desk & computer. Yay! I'm also going to be using it now for phone consults — I can walk around now without carrying the phone with me. Yay! Just for the sake of mobility during webinars and phone consults this is worth gold to me.

*Ultimately, this does not work during phone consults, it messes with the sound and does not sound good on the other end. It also doesn't work making webinars because it doesn't want to play nice as a microphone while filming. Tragedy!

It is still pretty awesome for listening to webinars and such though because I'm not tied to the computer and can get up and pour myself a cup of coffee or step out for a smoke while watching/listening to long presentations online.

I don't know if anyone else regularly finds themselves in hand and thumb splints (ahhh!) but this is a really cool brace if you do. You can wash your hands while wearing it, which is a big issue and difficulty with most fabric/velcro braces and splints.

I have that on right now because of Dequervains Tenosynovitis. It's inexpensive, $7.99 for a set of two. It's the Vive Gel Thumb Wrist Support on Amazon.

Has anyone in here tried a kneeling chair? It looks like it might help my back and neck pain but I'd like to try one before buying and so far I haven't found a store in my area that carries them.

Amazon.com: VIVO Wooden Rocking Kneeling Chair, Ergonomic Rocker Stool for Home and Office, Angled Posture Seat, Light Wood Frame & Black Cushions, CHAIR-K04R: Kitchen & Dining

Sleeps four feet above the covers.

@maegan I haven't tried kneeling chairs. I have pretty bad knees and anything that has "kneeling" in the title for me kicks an initial "oh hell no" reaction in on my end.

I have heard a lot of good things from people with back troubles about standing desks. For me the idea of standing up as many hours as I spend at a computer sounds horrifying too, but, when people cannot sit the standing desk is a good solution according to a lot of people. They are also pretty expensive, from what I hear. Hmm.

This is a cool set of jar and bottle openers for anyone with repetitive motion hand and wrist issues, it's inexpensive and some of the tricks of this gadget like opening a beverage can pop top with a little device I would not have thought of but makes a big difference now I have this little set. It is the Maexus Jar Opener Bottle Opener Multi Kit and it's only 7 bucks on Amazon and very cool.

"Maexus Jar Opener Bottle Opener Multi Kit 5 in 1 Opener, 4 in 1 Can Opener, Bag Opener, Seal Soda Easy Remover, Lid Twist Grips, Kitchen Tool for Seniors Arthritic Kids Children Gift"

This is a cool little lighter for people who use lighters. It is a USB lighter, so it does not run out — as long as you have an electricity source to recharge it:

@seemaxrun I also have temperamental knees, and they get mad if I spend too long in any position. I did end up getting a kneeling chair, and I really like it for my back. I already had a standing desktop and a really nice ergonomic office chair. I can't spend too much time in any of these, but now I have more options to switch it up.

Sleeps four feet above the covers.

@seemaxrun Here it is. You sit on the large blue pad and rest your shins on the smaller pads in front. There are tons of different styles, but the basic idea is the same.

This is so cool. After I got the new harddrive the sound on the computer was terrible so I got this little speaker for the computer and it is a great little speaker and sound is SO much better now.

That is the "[5W] USB Computer Speaker, PC Speakers for Desktop Computer, Laptop Speaker with Crystal Clear Sound, Loud Volume, Enhanced Bass, Direct Volume Control" it is more than really reasonably priced at under $20 (and on sale for Black Friday) and just plugs in via one usb port and works. There was a bit of a dust up the first time I tried to use Zoom with it plugged in I had to reset controls for that to work in sync with the camera and microphone but it's all good now. Yay!
