If you haven't read David Sinclair's book, Lifespan, I recommend it. He considers elements of aging a medical condition. I so agree! And has done a lot of research and made some eye opening medical breakthroughs with nerve regeneration that are wonderful and astounding. Check it out. I recommend it and it's on Amazon.

I in particular am guilty of sleep deprivation crimes. I regularly pull all nighters to meet deadlines, suffer from insomnia, get my sleep hours twisted up (and they're already pretty twisted up by society's standards because I'm an owl, a night person, and don't operate on farmer's daylight hours anyway). I have been working on trying to get more and better sleep and be a little less ruthless about running my poor brain and bod on fumes here though. Matthew Walker's observations are really telling in regards to sleep.

I lost weight during the first round of Covid. Now, with the Delta variant, I am rapidly putting it back on and then some.

I will not be discussing (nor posting) bathing suit photos...

@seemaxrun Mayim Bialik just had this guy on her podcast. (I have not listened to this episode yet but I have listened to others and it's always fascinating.)

Fu Dogs! The new guardians of Casa Max. I used to have a gargoyle but the gargoyle went missing during a move and possibly still lives at the guest house I lived in for a while. It was time for new house guardians. I love these guys. They make me happy.

My feet have been cramping. The foot cramps are that kind of wake you up the feet hurt and are stone gorgon feet now you have to try to bend them back into a correct alignment to make the cramping stop and they fight you and are hard as little rock feet cramping.

Usually, for cramping like that, I drink pickle juice and the cramping stops, but not this time, this time the pickle juice failed me.

I have this liquid potassium that is truly vile. It tastes like you took sea water out of the ocean and let it sit in the sun for a week letting all the brine and sea crud build up and water evaporate out and then tried to drink it. I usually do not take it because it is so vile but the foot sitch was desperate so I dosed myself up with vile liquid potassium and —

The foot cramps stopped. Immediately.

So now I have a new muscle cramp remedy. It's wicked nasty but it works instantaneously.

This is... um... tongue in cheek meditation. But I couldn't help thinking it belonged in 5150-land.

@peter I'm not a fan of guided meditations, but that is one I would use 😆
