Quick visuals to share

Max taught me how to condense my story into almost no words, just flavored visuals that sweep the viewer into the world I've created. And the viewer needs to spend less than two minutes to understand what I'm telling. Brilliant!

Show up for the side effects

As a typical introvert writer, I did this to get out of my comfort zone. As it turned out, I wasn't pushed, I was enticed. Part of this was because of things I didn't expect in terms of new perspectives on myself and a writer and unexpected imagery. I think of these as side effects (still an introvert). You might think of them as bonuses.

The Perfect Crash Course for Writers Who Would Happily Hide Behind Their Desks FOREVER

Writers write. Right? If your work's good, it gets out there into the world. Somehow. I'm too much of a goody goody to say I don't believe the universe can be benevolent. But sometimes the universe could use a huge helping hand. I came out of this class with a gorgeous lookbook and the crazy (for me) confidence that I could "put myself out there" like a pro. Take it. It's a game changer.

So freakin' awesome is Max Adam's "The Writer's Reel"!

Max Adam’s “The Writer’s Reel” opened my eyes to create a visual story in a lookbook that can sell your script. From my original pretty crappy first attempt to a total mini-masterpiece visual of my story. Thanks, Max! Highly recommend. Joan Philo
